Knight Consulting Engineers, Inc., provides construction materials inspection and testing services. Certified engineering technicians provide construction inspection and quality control services, including inspection of structural steel erection, high strength bolt connections, concrete reinforcing, concrete placement, earthwork operations, paving, roofing, and other related aspects of the building industry. Nuclear density gauges are available to provide immediate moisture content and unit weight determinations for compaction testing of soils and bituminous concrete. Our concrete laboratory is equipped with two 400,000-pound capacity compression testing machines, a temperature controlled moist room, and a full complement of concrete, masonry and aggregate testing equipment. The soils and bituminous laboratory is equipped for a wide range of testing needs, including sieve analysis, consolidation testing, Atterberg limits, moisture density relationship and unconfined shear testing.
